In the south of Madagascar, the village of Belemboké has no running water, no well and no school. To access water for their family, three young children walk many miles and make their way underground to the center of the Earth… every day.

In the south of Madagascar, the village of Belemboké has no running water, no well and no school. Three young siblings head out each morning in search of water. Their long journey takes them to a chasm, where they descend into the depths using rickety ladders and wooden rails. At the bottom they find a small pool of drinking water where they fill their containers before making the return journey beneath the midday sun.

An unenviable fate for these children who have no school and no future.
