SUCCESS STORY – A WELL IN MADAGASCAR

Share

A little film and constant dedication can change the word ... and the future.

Villagers in Madagascar south west : no tap water, but a jerrican to be filled up in a deep cave.

In the Malagasy village of Belemboké, there is no borehole, no well. So, 3 children from the same family must carry out water-fetching chores daily. A long journey takes them into the depths of a chasm, between ladders and wooden logs, to reach the freshwater lens…before bringing back their haul under a scorching sun. An unenviable fate for these children without school, without a future…see the clip we produced in 2022 to showcase this daily insanity.

Here is a great news – this is about to change ! The non profit “Un puits un école à Madagascar” got the funds (see picture of one of his founders, Patrick Troadec, in red T shirt), and the elders ( pictured herewith with their hats on) can’t wait to have soon a well in their village so that kids can access a better future !
