LIFE ON FIRE/ A VOLCANO ODYSSEY: AWARD SURPLUS
Volcanoes give and take. This time, they brought us many awards... too many in fact:
- PHOENIX TEMPLE, directed by François de Riberolles, snacked the "Parc National Gran Paradiso" award, at the Gran Paradiso Wildlife Film Festival, in Italy, the Best Screenplay and the Grand Prix at Albert, France, and the Wildlife Award in Abbeville, France;
- THE SURPRISE SALMON, directed by Bertrand Loyer, swallowed the Marine Animal Award at the Blue Ocean Film Festival, in Monterey, California, the "golden twin" award at Hendaye, France, the Sound and Screenplay Awards in Albert Wildlife Film Festival, France, and the Gold Palm at the International Underwater Film Festival, in Marseilles, France,
- ASH RUNNERS, directed by Bertrand Loyer, out-runned all other competitors and won the Grand Prix at Namur Wildlife Film Festival, in Belgium. It also shines high in Russia, as it won the best cinematography award at the International Film Festival "World of Knowledge" ( in St.-Petersburg, Russia).
- PIONEERS OF THE DEEP, directed by Bertrand Loyer, surfaced as the "Grand Prix" at the International Bird and Wildlife film Festival, in Menigoute, France.
Last but not least, a feature length film A VOLCANO ODYSSEY, directed by Francois de Riberolles, snatched the Grand Prix both in Valvert and Abbeville festivals.
That is way more than we can handle....
